History Event run in conjunction with English Heritage

An illustrated talk by local historian and Norfolk Archives & Heritage Development Foundation (NORAH) trustee David Stannard tracing aspects of the legendary history of Ingham church and its former Priory.

The talk, taking place inside Ingham church, gives surprising insights from wills held by Norfolk Record Office into how 16th century Ingham parishioners responded to the upheavals of the English Reformation and counter-Reformation. Visitors will also get an opportunity to tour the ruins of the former Priory, the magnificent 13th century Priory church and the remarkable Crusader monuments it contains. This event is supported by NORAH. Refreshments and parking are available.
